In today's environment we really can't be body shaming Brent like this we run the risk of being cancelled!

Big shout out to the D2 and Galot crew, the weather looked miserable this morning but they were able to find the right window get the track dry and get the race done.
Also my apologies for some terrible reporting, my photo app is not working so I can't upload anything so I pretty much gave up. I bowed out in the 4th round to Jeff Strickland the eventual winner in Stock and he also doubled as he won in TD also. We run the Open tomorrow and I think the weather is supposed to be good.

Good morning folks, today we run the Open, start time is 9am and the weather looks good. Just a few thoughts on yesterdays race and Galot in general. What a great place to race, don't let the 1/8 mile stop you from making the trip, I promise you will love this place. There are power hook ups everywhere for your motorhome, lots of black top to park on and nice wide lanes to drive throughout the pits. There is a dump station for your rv, and clean modern bathrooms. The track is smooth and the scoreboards are the best I have ever seen. I have never raced 1/8 mile so it was a learning experience for me. I don't talk much about my racing, as there is not much to talk about...lol, but things happen very fast and you have less time to make the right call. Another really nice thing about being here for me is... everyone is so nice, polite and just plain friendly. So many people were so welcoming, I was humbled. Cody Phillips and family put on a super nice barbeque, a great bunch of people... it was good times for sure. Well I guess that's it for now, I should have an in car camera later today if all goes well, its a stick car so it should be a fun ride. |
