Today and the next few days represent many important engines in the detroit car lineup.

Belated props to Steve Wann, Dwight Machael, and anyone else racing the wicked 413, and circa "enginelabs.com", "the 413 Max Wedge that the Beach Boys immortalized gave the owner 410 to 420 horsepower and right around 500 pound-feet of torque." Kudos to you Carguy49 for the significance of this week. Starting yesterday thru Friday, there's either a c.i. displacement or advertised hp rating these first six days of the week... HAPPY MUSCLE MOTOR WEEK!!!!

The '63 Z11 "Mystery Motor" 427, makes me wish it wasn't such a mystery and more Impala's, Bel-Air's, and even Biscayne's would've been made with that engine, so they could've been allowed in Stock and Super Stock.
The late-60's 427 L88's and ZL1's definitely give me reasons to love the AA/SA class, and Ford's 427 Fairlane Thunderbolt, also allowed Chevy and Ford to play with the Chrysler 426 Hemi in that 9sec class. Nothing would be cooler, than to see a 4-wide heads up class race between a '64 Ford Thunderbolt, a '64 Plymouth Savoy, a '65 Dodge Coronet, and a '69 Camaro....how about it guys and gals? Hey Bob Frey, how high would that be on your COOL-O-METER????

I am NOT a fan of 4 wide Drag Racing, but that combo would be OFF the Cool Charts.
