Mickey PBR's VS Hoosier Radials

I always felt that Mickey's have had a small performance edge in this segment, but at a cost (the time and money to change more often) maybe the pro bracket one have changed all that?
I think the question was : how fast is the Pro Bracket Radials vs the competition, does anyone know?

You don’t see them on stockers because they don’t make a 9 x 30. Only 9” one they offer is 28”. Maybe on a super street or bracket race forum you can get some feed back. Only the low hp stockers run something other than a 9 x 30. Sound like they are a killer tire.

We have 2 sets of radial tires M/T PBRs & Hoosiers. I would like to say they are both great tires. We have about 800-900 passes using Hoosiers & around 150 passes on the M/T's. The Hoosiers we get 150-200 runs out the tires (150 was the lightweights).The M/T's are our 1st set, but looks like we'll get an easy 200 runs.

As for performance, the tires are not identically set-up. The Hoosiers are 30x9 (92.5 RO), they have been run on 8" or 10" rims. The M/T's are 29.5x10.5 (94.2 RO) on a 9" rim. The M/T's are around 7 lbs. heavier per tire. Plain & simple the Hoosiers are .02-.03 quicker, but all around I like the M/T's slightly more.

These are run on a 1980 Camaro bracket car. It weighs 3050 with driver, 434 sbc & runs high 9s.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was unaware they don't make a 9" x 29.5" PBR, only 28.5". I just assumed since they made a bias 9" x 29.5" they made the same in the PBR. Looks like Hoosier is the way to go. I am VERY pleased with how the car worked on the Hoosier so I'll stick with them. CO6 compound on it in the past........Thoughts??

I have have been running the Hoosier 94 Lightweights for years and can usually get a season out of them (well over 100 runs) and then put them on my Daughter's K/SA wagon. My car is a AA/SA 427 Camaro. The biggest thing I see is people putting in too much heat , Too large a Burn out.

I wish somebody would make a taller 9” bracket radial.

I’ve been running the Hoosier 92.5 C07 tire forever on my bracket/SST car and been extremely happy with them but decided to start 2021 on the Hoosier 28 x 9 bracket radial. I don’t think those would be legal in Stock as they claim a 9.5” tread width. Mickey’s 9” PBR say 9” but I’ve never actually measured either.
