Me too. Always in the hunt for that elusive first 9 second pass. What happened to the car?

Did Jim Waldo win some sort of Top Stock race many years ago with his Mustang?

Joe, I seem to recall Jim did win a Top Stock race too, not sure where though. Also, enjoyed seeing the Alouise when he brought it out to Mission during the hunt for the first 9 second Stock run. At least once they brought a SS/BA Plymouth as well. Have heard nothing about them or the Tiger car in years.

To my knowledge he still has the '63 car but the '64 SS/BA car was auctioned no reserve several years ago it went cheap.

Also believe Brad VanLant won at Gateway, beat Fred Suiter in a very close race. Both very fast Stockers.

Thanks to Tom and Carol Rix here you go.

Joey almost crosses into Johnny D at about the 9:55 mark.

Fitting this was posted last week, Big Y would have celebrated his Birthday Wednesday.

Some years ago I went for a job interview at Joe Aluise's shop in Maryland I believe it was called Metro Truck Leasing down near D.C. area. The shop was First Class while I was there that's when I saw the SS/BA car. I was able to be Up close, a thing of Beauty. That car was an Outstanding piece of Workmanship, Top notch right down to the hardware that held it together. Very NICE Hot Rod. Anyway I didn't take the job but everything in his whole operation was Top Notch.
When Dave Ley was running the Top Stock / Jr. Stock races here in Division 1 , that was probably the most FUN I had with my clothes on! At the time I was running Jr. Stock and we had a Blast!
I know the "Times have changed" but at least we had some fun while we were doing it.
