From what I understand the new Ritter blocks (not the first ones) are good products.

They don't sell for much more, if any, than the asking prices for some NOS R3 blocks.

I know of at least two quality machine shops that can do CNC work of them.

Last time I looked they were NHRA approved.

A buddy of mine has a Ritter block ( not a 1st one) and has a crack in the coolant passage which appears to have been welded right from Ritter. One of the oil drain back hits right into the oil pan rail, upon many other problems.

That is too bad, sounds like stories from the first gen blocks. I think Ritter would have made that good. However that does not help if you already have a money tied up at the machine shop.

He has every bit of 5k into it. Ritter is actually coming out to inspect the block. Ill let you know what happens.
