Ladies and Gentelman,
There is a WRITTEN RULE in Div 3 just for this exact thing. At least had been in the rule book about stopping at the scales after winning a round. However many years ago, I went the same route. Knew I lost, but WATCHED my opponent bypass scales and fuel check. I sat there and waited til the last car went through and then scaled and had fuel checked. I know the rules at that time. I had raced enough by then. The race gets postphoned for weather. Guess who was not on the sheet for rd 2? The guy following the rules. I can speak for that particular part of the Kentucky bunch in that he claimed he was told to bypass the scales and fuel. Cause thats what he had said. Of course he didnt know I was watching to see what he did. Since that is what I was taught. Every car that won was scaled and checked while I watched. 2 winners bypassed. 1 looped around after the mistake. The other loaded up and hit the road before the weather hit severe. This time slip crap is stupid. Print the damn ticket and make sure you have ink in the damn printer. Just like having change for your morning breakfast. There is no paper or ink shortage. AD> |
