"As much as I feel the importance of the U.S. Nationals, I was really looking forward to racing this weekend at Numidia Dragway close to home at the ClassRacer Nationals."

Default Re: Back From Indy - The Indy Report

Indy was still Indy but much like the 2020 Baseball season a condensed concentrated form of it. For Stock/SS the 1 shot at class finals made for some very tough decisions to make. IF you made a clean fast pass Q1 and were lucky enough to make the class finals you bore the burden of Not getting a "bracket mode" run before eliminations. It made for some interesting strategizing and racing. We had the All Stars race at Indy for the first time. We had Factory Stockers, Top Fuel Harleys, Hemi Shootout etc. surely something for everyone to see. The Pros had challenges too not being set up from a normal circuit of racing. There were lots of oil downs and flying blower belts and holes out on the fuelers and Pro Mods were unpredictable as well. But it was still an event to be at. I love it and hate comparisons to how things used to be. Nothing is the way it used to be. It was all good in it's own setting of that time.
