Had nothing to do with NMCA The Ford change was issued July 29th after the July 18-19 Indy National event, the FSS final between Bill Skillman, and Chris Holbrook was rained out @ that event , and was going to be run @ US Nationals

Probably not a good look for NHRA when you hit the Ford so hard that those who's name is on one of the tracks lanes... doesn't show up to finish the finals from a prior National event; nor show up at the prestigious US Nationals which is located close to their home town.
I can understand factoring them some based on their performance at the prior event; but the NHRA official working the numbers was a bit excessive to my way of thinking. ![]() |
