I have for the most part been a Traditional Country music fan. However, I am a huge fan of The Mavericks and listen to them every day.

I just made up a new rule..Two-fer Tuesdays allowed ;-)
The Moody Blues were finally inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame in 2018 Their critics claimed they recorded with a symphony orchestra , but so what? So did Procol Harum , even The Beatles. They had already proved they could do psychedelic stuff, plus Justin Hayward showed he could play R&R lead guitar with the best of them.. Anyway, they're in now!

1550 views. Somebody's rockin ! I missed two fer Tuesday ... Crap . I notice Mark and others seem to like the 70's super groups. I'll go back to the 70's but a little deeper. Nobody ( except maybe Mark) remembers a band called Spooky Tooth. You either liked them, or hated them. Their keyboard player, some guy named Gary Wright, went out on his own. His first self titled Album called "Dream Weaver" had a huge hit called the same name. Thing was,the entire album....drums, guitar, organ, bass ect., was produced on his synthesizer. At the time I thought it was really cool, but now it's way too common for bands to do all the work digitally. Here is a cut off the same album...

One of my faves from the early 70's was the Moody's album" Every Good Boy Deserves Favour".The first letters in the title (EGBDF) are the strings of a guitar. The story in your eyes was a great track from the album with the line,"from the ashes we can build another day!"...gsa612

The reason I remember this stuff, is at my day job i got to listen to the radio alot and got my music education from Scott Muni on 102.7 WNEW=FM. From time to time he would have Elton John on to play Ejay the D.J. and you would hear alot of different music and groups. John Kissel
