Interesting what else I found when doing more research on things relative to this month. In trying to find out why the '63 Chevy Impala/Bel-Air/Biscayne wasn't allowed in stock and super stock with the Z11 Chevy 427 "Mystery Motor", I was reminded that the L88 427 was rated at both 430 & 425hp, thus meaning 425 wasn't exclusive to the 426 Hemi(the '63 Chevy 409 also had a 425hp rating). Furthermore, 401 isn't exclusive to AMC, as "The 401 aluminum heads (PN 12363408) are listed on the GM Performance Parts Web site as the NHRA-approved engine parts for the motor they were building" the 427 L88...(source, SUPER CHEVY).

HAPPY HOT ROD LINCOLN DAY! Now I think I know the reason George Thorogood, created that song (or at least it sounds good), after you enlightened me of the Lincoln 430 mill. Cool!!!!

Ahem.... I think George Thorogood wasn't even born when Hot Rod Lincoln was created. That was in the 40's by a guy in Spokane. And it was a V12 then.

True the song wasn't created by George Thorogood, however he and his group "The Destroyers", re-made the song, and hopefully the site admin will be able to attach it here as I couldn't (from YouTube). Oh and one more thing "ahem", It may not have been the Lincoln 430 mill either versions of the song referenced, but I recall saying "or at least it sounds good "....

If it was that old I imagine it was the V-12 flathead. I saw one in a street rod at a car show years ago and was stunned. I had no idea there ever was such a thing.
