Social media posts of an Ohio man who disparaged coronavirus lockdown measures are now circulating online after he died of COVID-19, the disease associated with coronavirus.

Screenshots of Facebook posts calling social distancing measures “bull****” have surfaced online just days after John W. McDaniel, 60, died of coronavirus on April 15. One screenshot of a post dated March 13 included an accusation that the virus was a “political ploy.”

“If you’re paranoid about getting sick, just don’t go out,” another post said. “It shouldn’t keep those of us from Living Our Lives. The Madness has to stop.”

The posts have gone viral, even getting the attention of British broadcaster Piers Morgan.

“Let his death be a warning to everyone else who wants to be ‘living our lives’ & ignore lockdowns - it may END your life,” Morgan tweeted Tuesday.

Be careful of your words. This was his post. "Does anybody have the guts to say this Covid19 is a political ploy? Asking for a friend. Prove me wrong."
~ John W. McDaniel, from Marion County in Ohio

Jeff, I am not trying to start an argument with anyone however, I would not believe anything that comes from Facebook.
I do not have Facebook and will never have it either.
Facebook has more fake news than all the other news outlets combined.
Facebook reminds me of a bunch of Jr. High School girls gossiping and posting things about themselves and others which makes them feel better about themselves at others expense.
Facebook's founder and CEO is the biggest con man alive today. He also has his own agenda on a platform he claims to be neutral.
Yeah, right.
Facebook is big business and the users are being used for profit and most do not even realize it.
Like the thread states this is just my thoughts.

As far as the trade deal that was mentioned goes, our USDA smart ones have decided to let the chi coms export fresh citrus into this country. The story is in the latest "Citrus Industry News" that came today. Florida's citrus industry has been decimated by little aphids that came from over there. John Kissel

The Governor of Illinois just extended the Quarantine there until the end of May.
Doesn't sound good for the Joliet June Lucas Divisional or the July National event.

Hi Jeff, it seems to be a sad situation as anyone losing their life from the virus is a tragedy.
I just do not trust anything from Facebook.
My grown kids and their spouses have Facebook and I get to hear about all the junk there plus the wife has it to see pictures of the grandkids as they get posted also.
I also question snopes sometimes as I did catch them totally incorrect about one item I searched some years ago. That was only one of many times I used snopes.
The wife and I did get to go racing out west in late February before the lockdown and sure glad we did do that since it may be a long time until we get to go again.
Just staying home now due to our age being high risk.
Jeff stay safe and hope we all get to race again sometime soon.

Here is what it comes down to:

I believe there will be no racing in 2020 and that we should all be staying home and avoiding crowds until this is over.

I could be right. I could be wrong.

Others believe COVID-19 is not real, or that it has been hyped beyond reality. They think we should get back to normal as quickly as possible.

They could be right. They could be wrong.

The difference is that if I am wrong, I have needlessly missed out on going to drag races and other events.

If they are wrong, they could infect themselves, their families, and friends. They or their family members could die.

If you are going to be wrong, which way would you rather be wrong?
