The COVID-19 is real and should not be taken Lightly. My wife works in the surgical dental field and has been off work since March 17th and MIGHT get to go back to work till maybe May 4th if all goes well. All the staff in the office are convinced they were exposed to it earlier however, no signs by anyone and they cannot get tested either way.

I have a friends car in my shop right now that we just finished and the owner and his wife came down with it in March and testing was confirmed Late March they had it and are SLOWLY getting better. He explained to us it's very painful and nothing like he's experienced before. They probably won't be healthy enough till May to get out.

My concern is some do not take this seriously enough and things get opened too soon and we lose what progress has been made. Until there is a vaccine for it, who the heck really knows.

Dr. Ben Carson says 98% of coronavirus cases recover and ‘we can’t operate out of hysteria’
The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is now the leading cause of death for Americans. But Carson said there will be more death "if we destroy the economic infrastructure of this country."

He said the country may not recover economically if America does not open back up for business.

Despite this, the HUD Secretary said the country can't reopen too early.

"Obviously, we don't want to [resume economic activity] too early. We will wait for a couple of weeks and see if [the curve] continues down and then we also need to make sure that we have appropriate testing."

Carson suggested that the government's response to the virus has been extreme.

He also said that not enough attention was being given to the "number of people who have recovered" and that "98 percent" could expect to come through the virus.

"You probably do know someone that has it, you may have it, who knows?" Carson told Fox News host Martha MacCallum on Thursday. "But people have been terrified because we've talked about the bad."

"We can't operate out of hysteria," Carson said. "When people are hysterical, they don't do logical things."

Paul and Bruce both BLUE STATERS imagine that.

The 98% estimate may even be low. It will never really be known how many people had the virus. Many have minor or even no symptoms at all.

While that might be true. If everyone that needed or wanted a test could get a test. The truth is there is not enough testing being done or available.

So just what numbers did Dr. Carson use? Since at one point he worked at Johns Hopkins lets use their numbers.

► 37309 / 711197 = 0.052459 USA

► 156901 / 2284018 = 0.068695 World Wide

Stan

PS - Added Percentages

► 100 - ((156901/2284018) * 100) = 93.13% World Wide

► 100 - ((37309/711197) * 100) = 94.754% USA

MY HUNCH:

If everyone was tested.......There would be 10 or 20 times as many cases
of the Virus as we are counting. That would indicate a Death rate of ten
or twenty times less percentage wise and about like common flu.

I am still going to be cautious in public but I am going out of the Darn
House.

I just don't know how one can put percentages on human lives. 98% survival rate sounds pretty good........unless you are in the other 2%.

Where is the outrage against smokers kills 30% obesity, high blood pressure the flu is more deadly. No one wants to be in the 2% but if you are a fat smoker with high blood pressure it is probably a lot higher than that. If you take care of your body this virus is nothing.

Look up Stanford study of Santa Clara, CA. Article was on CNN of all places.
The numbers may be actually 50 - 80 times.

I heard on the news this morning a prison in Ohio has 73% of the inmates testing positive. I wonder if they tested everyone in America or for that matter the world what the % would test positive?
