From Google, each year there are about 100,000 cases of flu reported in the USA
with about 36,000 deaths, with the Chinese covid 19 there are about 680,000 reported cases with about 35,000 deaths, do the math. |

The numbers you are quoting are from an entire flu season. The numbers for COVID-19 are increasing on a daily basis and will continue to do so. No one will know what the final numbers will be until the virus is completely contained, and that doesn't appear to be any time soon.

This is just more of Bader grandstanding. There will be dozens of police cars at the Norwalk track if he attempts to open the gates. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he would get himself arrested just for the press. But you can bet your Stimulus check/direct deposit that the track will remain closed as long as the Governor wants it closed. All the rest of his stuff is hooey.

But maybe it's actually "pushing the envelope" ,in a political sense. Seems reasonable that they could run a Summit series race, within a month's time. Huge seating capacity for very few, adequate precautions. Entirely possible to do, in my experience. It may come down to a push and shove match, but I hope not.
