Bill Bader Jr. "we are going to open"

I saw on local news and Facebook Bader is going to open against Gov. DeWine orders, this could get interesting.

Just saw that on HLN news. He says if he doesn't get to open this summer, track will be out of business!

My home track but I cannot support his decision on this. I won't put myself and my immediate family at risk to go racing. Simple math will tell you the death toll and amount of cases are low because people listened. I know folks are anxious to get out but keep in mind this junk is still out there, it hasn't went away yet. We have yet to see the surge but I feel it's coming because of poor decisions like this.

Make sure you watch Bill Jrs. " Facebook Live " explanation of the current status of Summit Motorsports Park in its entirety. Don't jump to any conclusions based on select excerpts that have become the standard in todays "fake" news casts, When a governor makes a stupid comment like, "I'm considering closing all outdoor sporting events in Ohio for 2020", he just drew a line in the sand. Bill Jr. is just the first, of many, that will take on that challenge head on !. Wake up America …..

So Jim who is being stupid? The man trying to protect the people of his state or a greedy track owner?

IMHO

Doing what is necessary to survive is not being greedy. He can open with proper social distancing.

Good for him!!!
More businesses that aren’t in a hot spot/major city need to do the same

I have been waiting and watching here in KY.. I feel either, what has been done, along with population less, more spread out, than other places has helped/worked...
or it is just getting started here.... IDK which or either are right...time will tell..
my thoughts are if Bader and or others open and it goes good... people are OK.. then I will consider getting out... if it goes bad..I'm keeping my butt here in shop like its been for past month....
I completely understand Bader's frustration, yet at same time.... I'm setting there watching video..... thinking of David, Lewis and Mrs. Conkey

We all are in a spot that NO ONE is going to win...either your are going to lose physically, mentally or financially....

Exactly. No reason why he can't open other than the state. The only place where social distancing would come into play would be at the concession and rest room areas. You'd have to limit riding around on a golf cart with your friends too I suppose. He's got plenty enough seating if you want to go and watch. As far as the rest rooms...the state of Pennsylvania has port-a-potties set up at all the rest areas. How often you think those are getting cleaned?

Our pit spots are far enough away from one another. Standing next to your car in the staging lanes provides plenty space to be far enough from the next guy. If you're waiting with your car in tech, you're plenty far enough from the next guy. I can go on, but you get the point. This early in the year, I'm going to be focused on my car anyways, and not worried about going and conversing with those around me, etc.

Like the Smithfield pork processing plant in South Dakota. It is not a major city and was not a hot spot. Now it is a hot spot.
