I have gone down a couple of times on Wednesday so I could watch Sportsman on Thursday and Friday and go back to SC on Friday evening. Sure am glad I didn't do it this year. Should have went to the Baby Gators, but they re-scheduled it to start at 8:30 on Thursday and I was prepared to leave SC at 5:00am on Thursday so that got shot down. Oh well, hopefully this will pass before the 4 Wides. Maybe they could increase the quota and make it a 4 day race. JK. Know that won't happen. Everyone good luck tomorrow, especially the Volkmans. Take care and wash your hands.

I have worked in EMS for 40+ years as a Medic and now am semi retired. We as first responder's have been threatened with bird flu, swine flu, H1N1, zika virus, measles, yellow fever, polio virus type 1, monkey pox, AIDS/HIV, Ebola, and now Corona. The scare was so big with Ebola we had kits made up for contact with suspect patient's consisting of tyvek suits, gloves, booties, duck tape to seal the ankles and wrist, and respirators with filter canisters. The biggest issues we faced in the last several years were idiots taking bath salts, bed bugs, and not breathing calls due to heroin overdose. The idiots taking bath salts had to be restrained and transported. It would take 2 medics and 4 cops to get the demon under control and restrained. The other pandemic was bed bugs. At least 4 of our EMS stations got the couch and chairs infested due to the lil hitch hikers riding in on the crew members shoes or pant legs. They were a menace. The not breathing calls would come in two at a time. You could always tell when a new shipment of "good stuff" hit the streets The service I worked for had 200 employees and ran 25 trucks. We never had an employee suffer anything worse than the flu and we hauled princes as well as paupers living under the overpass. I say all of this to say they were more children aborted in America today in the time it took you to read this than have died from Corona. The latest stats I can find are 26 deaths in America as of 3/10. I will bet most of these are elderly or immunosuppressed. Visit someone into a nursing home, a cancer patient on chemo, or a patient suffering with AIDS while you have a little fever and not feeling great and the chances are good you will be their cause of death. I am by far no expert on this issue but IMHO the media has had a field day with this scare (and I will not go into my opinion as to why) and it is a shame that many are repeating the scenario of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Just 2 cent's worth of my opinion. Bench Racer, AKA Don Jackson

I think this says a lot.

i started thinking why this decision had to be made. if i was a employee that had to work for this event, i would probably not go to work considering all of the fans you would have to interact with, you cannot stand 6ft away from everyone if you are selling tickets, serving food, picking up trash for $9.00 a hour.
