Drove a friends S/S Camaro and if it hit the wheelie bars it was faster. The thought was it spun the tires to get RPM's in a happier place sooner. Lots of gear changes in trans and rear end. Same result.

The Hemi’s have gone to tied down fronts & going faster
In my opinion they have lost some of the appeal of watching them I like a wheels up launch, part of the fun |

I'll add this: Just last spring at the Baytown national event, I overheard a group of guys saying they were headed up to the stands to watch the "wheelie cars". While they may not understand Stock and S/S racing, it was refreshing to hear someone say they were going up to watch our door cars for a change. |
