Stock eliminator Lifters
Looking for recommendation on which lifter and why?
Trend or Precision? Would you get them DLC coated? |

Re: Stock eliminator Lifters
You should be more specific as regards to the type of coating. There are some coatings that can be used with cast camshafts. However, DLC coated lifters can only be used with a properly finished tool steel camshaft core. |

Would you get the EDM hole in the face of the lifter?

Re: Stock eliminator Lifters
Ppp lifter have a coated lifter with a coating that is safe for a cast cam. In my spare engine I took out the shubeck grenades and installed them on a cast cam. Broke them in as if it was a new cam and lifters with break in oil. Valve setting never moved. Took them all out after to inspect them and they looked like they came out of the box.

Re: Stock eliminator Lifters
On billet or tool steel cams I would run the
dlc lifters with no oil hole as the hole just creates a place for the dlc to not stick or flake off. On cast cams I would use the ones with the hole and have coated with a lubricity coating like Micro blue, have the cam nitrided and coated also. And as Bob said Pppc has a dlc that will work on a cast cam also.
