Yes I miss them a lot. I think they are good for the sport and help a lot of other racers.

Like love him or hate him Steve is a passionate driver. The passion sometimes bubbles up in ways that are unacceptable.

I never liked Dale Bernhardt, but he was great for NASCAR.

NHRA has built it's entire marketing plan around the Torrences, the Kalittas, Schumacher and Force. I wouldn't think that this would be a comfortable situation to be in.

Not the least bit...

That being said, I will acknowledge that they do have their place in the sport/hobby. I think he's doing way more harm to his already blemished image with the vague explanation for their absence though. If what is being said is true about the protest for his punishment, I think it's in poor taste for the other teams to sit out as well if that's the case. I sincerely hope that's not the reason for the absence, and that NHRA doesn't give into them.

I don't think the other teams have that choice, they may not be able to get there or run without the Torrance team.

There is talk on other message boards that Torrence's are not happy with NHRA changing the "countdown" procedure.
Also, Scott Palmer, and Jeff Diehl's teams get racetrack help from the Torrence teams.

I saw ST offer an apology from the podium. Then explain how tough it was for him to stand up there and do it. In an on track interview, CF said he hasn`t spoken to ST since their incident. Somehow, I couldn`t help but think how funny it would look with that cowboy hat pulled down over his ears.

Steve Torrence is simply a spoiled, entitled brat. If he wouldn't have turned and run like a little girl, maybe Ferre would have had a chance to pop him a good one.

Did the vintage Pro Stock cars ever get to run for the big 50 years of Pro Stock celebration?

I wasn't paying attention.
