The radials will do that, but if you work on your car to make them work you will be rewarded.
The front suspension is where it's at. Needs to move freely to transfer the weight.

Lenny , Ed
thanks for the response . I have only ever run radials on the Plymouth , bought it in 2007 . Never had this issue with the MT PBR only this Hoosier style . Is there some fine adjustment with shocks left ,yes . Enough to eliminate this , probably not . Will normally lift front wheels 6-8" , rear will separate / lift 3-4". Has caltracs . So it is hitting tyre hard , pics always show some tyre wrap . Tex |

I 60' about the same as you, and I've always been a top hole guy. It puts more downward force on the spring.
I've also never tried to leave at nearly that high RPM. If I'm hitting the top bulb I'm at 3400, and the bottom I'm tuning my light with RPM and usually end up at 2900 or 3000. I could see the high RPM being a big part of your issue, or at least not helping.

thanks Lenny ,
I have played with 2 step , higher has always been faster . Maybe with the weight and tq of the 505 it just really wants the stiffer MT radial , at least off the brake . I think best sixty on Hoosier is 1.44 , 1.42 on MT but more consistently also . I run a .400 sportsman tree no box . Thanks for your time and thoughts . I will try foot braking , normally under 3000 with old 5000 converter . Otherwise save up and call my friends @ Summit . Heres my class 1st qualifier , I am 5th? . The only Plymouth ![]() It is a facebook link . https://www.facebook.com/OVOplay/vid...epa=SEARCH_BOX thanks again , Tex |
