That was one big plus with IHRA - they stayed on those who posted contingency and you got paid.

Mike, They stayed on almost everyone. the old CSI got me for 3 and Jet hot got me for 1... Back in the 2,000's... Yes IHRA was way better than NHRA in that respect, Esp when Karen was doing the job.

Last IHRA race I won, the check bounced, never made it good. Almost no contingency sponsors. About half of that few never paid up. Gave up on IHRA after that.

That is because Bill Bader still owned IHRA. When it was sold several times after he let it go IHRA turned to s**t !

Don't hold your breath. I won class at the Gators 2 years ago. only 1 out of 4 paid their contingency. It took 8 months to get that check. It was Strange Engineering. Thank you Strange. None of the others paid.

I did a screenshot of an email NHRA sent me about 2 weeks after INDY. It has all the class contingencies on it. I only had 3. I also received emails from Sunoco and Moser shortly there after requesting a W-9 from me. They had attached the form for me to fill out and sign. I did that and scanned in a pdf and emailed it back. I have received all contingency monies from US Nationals. I will say that Billy Carroll from Comps is always the first to pay. I got my FAST check first. Ernie SS 354 |
