I use the adjustable modules instead of the chips. The ones I have are right on the money +- a small amount. If your chip rpm is real close to what the stall rating on your converter then it could vary more due to weather conditions that effect HP and the actual stall speed of the converter. I am usually chipped at least 1000RPM below the stall speed of the converter. I adjust up and down on the RPM to get my reaction time where I want it to be. The chip RPM makes almost no difference in ET through out a 600-800 RPM range.
