Look in a National Dragster from the 90`s, pretty much the same.

A National Event was $200 I believe and included a crew pass. If you didn`t need the crew pass they would buy it back at the registration trailer for $50.

Charlie don’t forget $100 + of the $340 goes to insurance
For the helicopter in case one of the Pros need it Nhra doesn’t count that part of our entry fee. And unlike the pros I gotta pay for my crew. +$85. Enhancements are rough

NHRA took in around $35000 for ins just at Pomona. I wonder what that 3 day Insurance policy looks like?

Probably not as much as their catering bill.

I looked. I don't believe it's any more than what we were running for in the 90's. $13-15K if you had the car stickered halfway decent then. Do they cut W & RU for a 6 round race now?

Not sure what payout are now,
My RU in stock at the NW Nationals in 2015 paid $1200 from NHRA. With contingency I think I pulled in 3K for the day. Winners contingency paid $300 per sponsor/RU only $100. Probably could get 9-11K with a win and maxing out all sponsor contingencies available. We sure don't do this for the money! But it was great memories, and worth every penny to play and to make it to the finals.

The NHRA paid right at $2.5 million for insurance in 2015. I got this number from their IRS filing. There isn't a breakdown, but I am sure that a large part of that is liability and workmans comp.
