And as others have pointed out - if you are starting with nothing - buy an already built car ( roller or complete) as it will cost less than buying parts to build one. Quicker too!

How about a '99 Mustang (just posting about a FFFFFord makes my fingers itch!) convert. with the 232. Rating looks pretty good at 170. 10.5 cr., big cam, 2" throttlebody and it can make T/SA @ 3400 lbs!!! I'm sure it could kick the snot out of my Nova! There have to be some of them floating around for not a lot of money and parts should be fairly cheap and easy. Could it be a 21ST century "Dime Rocket"?
