Love Dan's no holds barred candor. He tells it like it is, almost WJ like.

Dan, thanks for being available to do these interviews. Makes us lowly racers feel at home. Heard you interview with Wes Buck earlier in the year and it was the same "tell it like it is" style you wear so well.

I always loved his series in ND too. I was amazed at how down to Earth he was about relaying the silly crap he got in to when he wasn't on the track cutting people's hearts out.

Bruce is correct, there are some quotes that are just hard to forget.....Many seasons ago Dan was trying to secure a ride in a superstock car on the west coast ....I can’t remember the exact wording but it was something like this.....
You bring the car, I will bring the cheatin stuff......I laughed and laughed and laughed till my stomach hurt.....

I bought an enclosed trailer from a well known and successfull Stock and bracket racer. Tool box has labels on the drawers. One drawer says “cheatin stuff” and the drawer below that says “more cheatin stuff”. I love when somebody notices it and laughs when they read it.....You know you’re doin good if people say you’re cheatin.....lol
