Since we can't compare drivers that aren't racing any longer, Why not get someone or some companies to sponsor a race, say in the middle of the USA, and invite all of the current drivers that should be included and let them race for "GOAT".

Great idea. How would the field be picked??? Top five in each division in Stock and Super Stock for the last 5 years or what??

Would the winner in each category be the World Champ??.

IMO, it isn't a one-race discussion. Even the very best win a relatively small percentage of the events they enter.

I'm no Justin fanboy, but 3 titles and a 2nd in two seasons is pretty amazing. Then you consider his Stock title a few seasons prior, winning national events in 5 or 6 classes, 20+ national event wins in his early 30s. It's rare air.

I agree that it's not a one-race event but the discussion shows how diverse the criteria everyone uses to decide who is the best..................js

If we are talking GOAT.
Justin is a great racer and if it’s about what have you done lately
Ok Justin done well But can he win anywhere other than D7?
Peter. Fletcher Rampy Have done it everywhere
And have done it with fast A’B’C cars but also some slow class cars
Congrats Justin Lamb from some beat off who ain’t won nothing

James,
You have a win this year. That's one more than me and many other racers current and retired.

Definitely bias statement but D1 & D3 are toughest to win.. Very impressive numbers no doubt & too early for any judgement. Would like to see all mentioned names with a win vs event attendance ratio when all said & done.. should be an interesting benchmark

It will take years to compare who is the GOAT...Everybody has a favorite.
But regardless, Justin is a great young driver any way you want to slice it. 5x Champ with 25 National event wins and multiples of Divisional Wins in several categories at his young age. Congrats Justin on another great year.. ! (and congrats on your Super Stock Win and Stock Runner up, outside of D7 at the Chicago Route 66 Nationals this year.)
