How does NHRA come up with the minimum weight for each class? I thought I had it figured out and was kind of surprised to hear that I need to add 140 pounds to make minimum weight. I have an FS/A 2013 CJ. I took the factored HP of 562 times the weight per HP rating for my car of 5.65 and came up with 3175. I weigh 3400 but was told minimum of the class is 3540. What am I doing wrong?

FS/A has a weight break of 6.0, so to run that class you need to take your 562 x 6.0 then add 170 for driver.
