One of my heroes, too. I was a kid when the Snake and Mongoose stuff was at its height, and between them, Garlits and the Pro Stock guys, NHRA drag racing was all any American kid cared about. These guys were just men, but to us, they were larger than life. RIP, Tom.

Condolences to his family and friends.
Snake/Mongoose rivalry was earliest for me, growing up. I can`t be sure if they raced at Conn.Dragway. i just saw a pic in ND of him being on the Legends Tour. A pioneering racer, for sure. Godspeed. |
