Race 2 & 3 Update with points

This past weekend we had had our second and third races of the 2018 season for the United Engine and Machine Arizona Stock/Super Stock Association at Tucson Dragway. Race 2 was presented by Bill Nelson’s Automotive and race 3 was brought to us by Tucson Asphalt. We had 19 cars for race 2 on Saturday and 16 cars stuck around for race 3 on Sunday. We want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting these races despite the questionable forecast!

Saturday’s #1 qualifier was Al Corda with his .003 light, and Sunday’s was Mike Graham with his .006 reaction time. Both earned a Gold Shine Kit and California Car Duster from California Car Cover for their efforts.

Al Corda continued his winning ways in his B/SA Camaro when he won both events this weekend. He defeated a red lighting Roy Cracraft in his FSS/B Copo Camaro in the finals of Bill Neslon’s Automotive race #2 and Andy Kimball in his D/S Fairlane in the finals of Tucson Asphalt race #3. Al gets a custom fit car cover from California Car Cover for each of his wins.

Brad Hawk was the lone semifinalist on Saturday in his L/SA Mustang. Ryan Smith and Andy Kimball also finished in the money by making it to the quarter finals. With one semifinalist, Ryan earned semifinalist pay in his N/SA Malibu Wagon as the best losing package in the quarter finals.

Sunday had Brian Schultz in his E/SA Duster and Brad Hawk losing in the semifinals when Brian was defeated by Andy Kimball and Brad by Al Corda.

Our best losing package awards for each day are as follows.
Saturday:
Rd 1) Ultimate Converter – Raul Vargas
Rd 2) Lucas Oil – Alex Kadar
Rd 3) California Car Cover – Ryan Smith

Sunday:
Rd 1) Ultimate Converter – BJ Graham
