jmcarter, when he was asked who he was going for by the interviewer, he indicated Tanner, because if Tanner won the final round, then he (Greg) would have been champion.

I understand about Mike Edwards, but this thing with Torrence is absurd. This playoff system has been around for a while, no whining allowed. And needed to be in place for entertainment value. It was boring if one car dominated three quarters through the season and would be champion before the end of the season, as far as TV exposure. With the playoffs, just like ball and stick sports, there is added pressure and entertainment. Hey, look at how the NBA Finals went down two years ago when Golden State had an unbelievable season, yet went down in the finals. It is called competition, and playoffs make it more fun.

Kind of like the Jegs All Stars Race.
