Our local track has a Super Street series but lately the car count has been low so I've been thinking on ways to help that. My idea is to have a Super Series and combine Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. Run them all together and have one winner. Brockmeyer tells me his software will allow a .400 Pro tree on one side and a .500 Pro tree on the other side at the same time.
Is this something you'd be interested in? Has it been done before? |

It has definitely been done before. I believe the D5 Super Shootouts were run this way at some point in time.
I wouldn't be opposed to running that way, but I'd rather just bracket race if there was an option.

Not sure if you tried this or not however years ago we (NESSA) eliminated the NHRA and IHRA weight breaks which enabled Super Gas cars to run with us.
We picked up a few cars by doing that. Never tried the combo deal.

I've seen Div. 1 use this combined format several times when the car count is so low that they really didn't have any other option. The Div. director called a driver's meeting to offer that option and there was a vote. From the feedback, I would say most racers did not care for it.
