Well said Ted, spot on!

I have not raced in Denver since my wife refused to go back. Parking a quarter mile past the last turn out. No facilities, no water and a mile to the starting line.......only to go slow. Tell me, with my car, would you rather tow 600 miles to go 10.50 in Denver or tow 600 miles and go 9.50 in Sonoma (and have some NAPA Valley wine), and virtually no contingency for either one. Lol

Sure as the seasons pass.. The days and months come and
go and the days of our lives slip away... there is the yearly
bandimere speedway/ Denver bashing thread. Dog lover being the author this
particular year. Ted I think this a fine defense of our home
track and well said. Our track at has also been in the same
family for what 60 years ?? Through many challenges and
changing times . Thanks Bandimere speedway for still
provding a track for us to race at.
Great first post Ted. Thanks.

Being my first national event this weekend I'd like to point out a couple of things for the bashers out there , the people who run this track are great folks that simply hand the keys to NHRA so any complaints I feel should be directed there , I've run my car at bandimere for 15 years and can honestly say I've never been that busy before so the down time waiting for pros was a non issue I think we have a good base of local stockers here that are proud of our home track and it's a privilege to do what we do

It looked like all the West Coast Mopars went to Seattle instead of Denver for the Mopar Nationals.

You guys sure get a little TESTY when a poor innocent fan like Mr dog lover asks a simple question inquiring why only 17 superstockers show up at a National event where the metropolitan area is the 21st largest in the USA.....Of the 17 cars entered in Superstock only 5 are actually from Colorado ?? WTF. .?? Wow, .....not quite sure all the locals think that this is such a wonderful race to attend ......

And only 9 of the 17 were from division 5.

I wonder if the low car count numbers in SS from colorado
may have to do with things other than the track perhaps ?

Okay, tell us about the "other" things.

Bandimere is my home track and I have not been there once this year. A lot of racers in Co. be it S/SS guys our the fast street cars- like mine are not happy about the management of Bandimere! The track manager does not like spending a lot to prep and they just run events poorly. The last street car deal I went 2, it took 9 hours between the 2 passes I got. Its like that all the time here. I hate taking my family because there are no permanent restrooms, no shade to speak of. How many women want to use a porta potty? Let alone small children. Management caters to bracket racers because thats there cash cow. Beautiful track but its lacking a ton! My 2 cents!
