Default Re: Denver small SS field

My comments: John Bandimere & crew deal with a small mountain-side track squeezed between Red Rocks amphitheater and the Interstate, it is a linear layout pushing Lucas Oil cars to the far north end of the facility, which is ground up asphalt/volcanic dirt-rocks, and space shared by a holding area of portable potties and vehicles renting space

Although it is far away, at a Divisional you can cheat the speed limit and hit a crest about mid track and coast the rest of the way to head of staging, BUT at the Nationals, the pros shove the rigs almost into the road, add barriers and people walking, it is very difficult to navigate.

I believe the track is totally geared toward the pros at the Mile-Highs, and plenty of signals have been sent that LODRS cars are not ESP welcome. Add altitude and lowered car performance, and for me difficulty adapting to thin air for 3-4 days, dry nose etc.

Finally, at a track where I have won twice, runner up twice, and enjoy the urban amenities as well as running up the mountain sight-seeing, a fairly easy tow, I will not go back...the last two times my low HP car will not hook, even with the decreased HP....I think the MINIMUM we racers ask is a safe track ( it is ) and that it hook
