Arts wright and turbo cars get in under the db numbers .Den break out that practice tree / arm.... Who ' s the fastests slug car & whats the handy cap ? Is it totally heads up (which doesn't work in this case ) or a car leight handy cap .R/SA14.35-W/SA16.95 & AF/S14.15-EF/S17.75 index . I would think you would have a better race if you went with a car leight handy cap race , you guys just need to find out the car leights would be ahead of time and agree to it. If it a handy cap race time to dust off my T-bird . Whats the car count up to who's in ????

This is a great idea. It's actually cool.

That means there is no way people like nate and rich will do it. That might actually be a really good show.

No Chip your wrong I had a 110% crate motor they way there were designed to be run, I put 432 runs on it then put rings and bearing in it, after another 512 runs the oil pump pickup broke, motor lost oil pressure but nothing hurt as I caught it in time. The motor had cast pistons with 5/64 rings and was 20 over. Oh well, my brother and I drove it in the same day at Piedmonts 20K race 2 years ago, we both double entered and made 27 runs in one day with the car.

Hi Ed. I'm not doing to well right now. I fell on my boat while fishing the other day, and broke two ribs. I couldn't bend down and pick up a $100 bill if I found one. In a lot of pain. Doctors say it will be this way for 4 weeks.
I plan on getting up there sometime this season.
We now have Spunky another Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

There were only two dragsters. Debbie Doezal the Century 21 dragster (her husband won the 10k) and the Hooters car that Mark Darsow owns. There were two black roadsters. One was owned by Todd Estal and the other is owned by Brian Fritz. I was there helping Todd. Both dragsters are S/C cars and both run high 7's easily off the stop. Mark ran his stop like usual and won the round over Debbie and was dumped by Rich for using a THROTTLE STOP he said! Mark had words with Rich but did not solve anything as Rich told Mark he didnt hear or see Debbie's car do what Marks did at the starting line. His bottom line was he didnt care what Mark had to say! Her stop was used down track on her runs! Idont know if the fact that the Doezals daughter works for Charles Hendrickson(Charles is a member of the show and a good person) at his Dyno shop in Phoenix had anything to do with the win! Since Todd and Brian are friends they split the $1000.00 for the round. I didnt think it was a coincidence that the only cars that werent door cars had to run one another the first round eliminating two of them from the jump!( MY OPINION) The kid from L.A. with the black Mustang got Brian in his roadster second round and Brian had him three cars at a point down track and all of a sudden he just drove around Brian easily! Also the kid in the Stang by his own admission is a professional street racer! Oh well atleast the Stang had a small block Chevy in it! That night Rich was not much into listening to what the racers had to say to him. I heard him tell one racer if he didnt like what he said he didnt have to come back. It was interesting to see the show being filmed and what goes on during the commercials at home....lol I am in no way trying to discourage anyone from trying to make this event. It is not a lock you will get on the show or the chance to run for the bucks. They only take 16 cars. I sent a e-mail to Nate Pritchett who is the guy that gives the thumbs up in the tower after each round a question why they picked cars that ran 12.50 in Tucson. Never heard back from him. Nate is aware of this site and does post sometimes on a site .......www.GODRAGRACING.com We did have a good time and made some new friends and would go back. Please remember there is no guarantee you will get to run for the bucks or get any exposure.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to ALL!!

Steve and myself have kicked around some ideas of having a race for "slow" stockers. The first idea was a Top/Stock type deal (heads-up on a comon weight break, perhaps 16 or 16.5 pounds). However, that would eliminate many of the DF/S and EF/S, and the T-U-V-W Stockers. The next idea was to do it like Comp. Handicap, off the Index, no breakout, with a possible CIC. Open to all FWD Stockers, and lower-classed (in ET) RWD cars (possibly Q/SA to W/SA). If it were held in Ohio or somewhere around there, you would be able to draw from the majority of the good "slow" Stockers. I could possibly talk to Quaker City about having the race held there, perhaps in conjunction with a regular S/SS Combo.

Any ideas from anyone? Lord knows there are plenty of racers that could participate. Let's hear 'em.

Count me in. Seems like a little bigger radiator a good fan and water pump should take of the heat. Sounds like a fun time and we get to run for real money. What more could you ask?
