Thoughts on Quota situation

It seems like it would be easy to open entries to all classes even if they are full on Monday of the event or perhaps the week before. For example, only stock and super comp were full for Atlanta. My post on page 4 "Where's the Logic" is very similar to what your saying here as well.
I like Mr. Pearson's view on it, that is let the Div. your running in be allowed first.
I'm only 30 minutes away from Englishtown and only have 4 grade points but couldn't
get into Stock Elim.
Mind you, S/G quota is 65 and as of now their are only 22 entered out of 65.
I'm not in any way taking a shot at S/G but if their last few years Never came close to making quota, why is their quota set so high ??
Stock @ Englishtown probably could get 100 cars if it was set at 100.
They also do run the Factory Shoot-out there as well.
