Was thinking the other day about the quotas from around 1990 to present for the Gators and how many entrants were from the state of FL.
Now this is just an observation, not to be taken offensively. In Stock the field was comprised of around 50% FL racers. SS was around 40% and the Super categories were around 70%. As the years went by the quotas went down equally proportionate to the FL racers. Then the quotas went down further and the amount of FL racers went down drastically. The field now in Stock is lucky to have 10 FL cars, for the biggest race in FL. Just doesn't seem right to me. Is it the same in the other divisions. Does this seem as if you're not a semi-pro Sportsman (not alky & comp) your chances of getting in are just about the window. It has even got tougher to get those precious divisional grading points now that most of the tracks are non NHRA in FL. Like I said, just an observation, whats your take. Ron Ortiz U/SA slightly discouraged.
