I've said it before and I'll say it again, "They haven't figured out how to make us go away yet". But they'll keep trying!

Your Choice.
It has been my choice to stay away from NHRA for a while , lol

Worked on me. After two years of "special" rules that only affect a handful of cars different from everyone else's rules, I had already made the decision to bail on NHRA. I'll miss the people, but I don't miss NHRA one bit, and watching the prices go up and up isn't going to make me miss it. I'm going to Kentucky next weekend for four shots at $5,000 and two shots at $7,500, and that's just the beginning. Sure beat four days for one shot at less than $3K or $7K.

Our big money bracket races we promote continue to grow. We had record car counts at all four last year, so each event got a purse increase for this year, and more sponsors came on board. We've had one event already this year. Bad forecast, lost Sunday to weather, and we still had 489 entries, 100+ more than last year. On the flip side, not enough racers supported the Class Nationals, now there is no Class Nationals.

As chasracer said, "Your choice."

The added cost is probably to help offset the losses from the lower quotas, you guys didn't think they were going to eat all of that did you?

As long as there are people on here begging to get into events because the quota is full they have no reason for them to stop enhancing the racers.

Michael Beard is to be thanked by all the racers for providing a business like drag racing which still considers the participants not just the "business". NHRA only sees the bottom line today, not the future of the bottom line. Michael sees the Bigger picture which depends on keeping ALL the parts of the racing coming back for more. Probably will pick up spectators also.
Sorry to see the Class Nationals gone but competing NHRA events helped kill the counts in classes because the NHRA addicted lost sight of the future of their options.
If more NHRA addicted had braved missing an NHRA meet to support Class Nationals maybe NHRA would be questioning upping the charges for class racers at their events because they too would see the racers HAVE an option now....
Keep up the good work Michael.

The Quota's Shouldn't Have Gone Down Anyways.....

Why Did They Go Down ????

I can see if certain categories Do Not Fill Up, you can always Add 10-15 More Stock or Super Stockers to make up the difference.
Or whatever categories do not make quota, lower their quota down and add on to another class.

Why ,to perpetuate the Divisional scam, of course.
