Last one I saw run in SS was Mike Cissell. Been a few years ago.

Rick Johnson won Brainerd in 2010 with his 64 aluminum single 4bbl Dodge.

John Shaul and Gene Mosbek have both run their cars in SS in recent years. I think I saw Steve Wann entered in SS/EA with a '63 Plymouth recently as well.
The biggest thing hurting the Max Wedge cars is that they fall into the same class as the Street Hemi combinations. Another factor that doesn't help is the necessity for the aluminum parts to run the fresh air hood. There's not too many willing to race that stuff anymore (and I applaud those who do). The cost factor is phenomenal if you want to run the lower classes with the aluminum. I think the Max Wedge could be made competitive, it's just going to take someone with deep pockets, and a big heart. |

I have asked this before, does Mike Cissell still have his '63 SS/DA Plymouth?
