I have to have more runs in a FWD car than anyone, maybe 900.
Race a 80 Omni at the 83 nationals

a Paul Rossi Dodge Charger in 84 & 85
"" "" "" 600 86 & 87

got a Olds deal in 88, the Delta 88 that Kyle Riley bought from us , he sold it to the Stephenson and now John Riley in Fla has it
Then got a OLDs Toronado in 90 ,Tony our son ran the 88 in 92 & 94
Last raced the Toronado in 2003 sold to Mike { puff daddy] Carr in Ohio he still has it.

Thanks for the responses. I have always been curious about the cars. I assumed the transmissions would be the weak link although I don't remember ever seeing one break. Between Chrysler, ford, and GM who has the strongest FWD transmissions both auto and stick? Thanks, Don Jackson

Going to jump into this FWD scene this year with both feet! Have a good car, just need to figure out how to drive it! Quite a bit different than leaving on the bumper in the wagon. It seems that a 14 second stocker is way harder to drive than the super stock car. Looking forward to some warm weather testing, -37 degrees last night with wind chill. Getting old fast!!

No lie.
Alex had his 10.0 GTO out a couple weeks ago, after 7 years.
He said it was like driving a Cadillac down the boulevard , after driving the Monte.

Harold Morgan, still runs his Escort mainly in the south and at IHRA tracks. I heard he was moving back to Ft Lauderdale from Georgia a while back

I can only speak for my car, but my Turbo 125 had an 8" A-1 Torque convertor built for it back in '96, and it's still working great, and as for the tranny, the last time it was touched was y2k, so were talking over 16yrs. Now granted I haven't done as much racing during many of those years, as I'd like, but last year I partook in my first full countable NHRA season of 3 nats, and 5 divs., so I feel very good about the GM 125's.

Hi Tom I have you beat ( I think) I put 29 runs on my Superstocker in one test day. And was close to 20 in a day a few times with my FWD stockers. LOL
BTW The Superstock Neon is still for sale cheap I just can't do it anymore.
