Depends on who you ask, but yes that is always the idea that my Dad and I have followed. Let everyone enter that can and once its full enter as a gold card holder.

I screwed up and entered 2 days ago, thought grade 1 had already opened, and I apologize to anyone that didn't get in because of it.

In case anybody wonders...
I talked to a nice lady at NHRA competition yesterday.
I said, seeing Super Street only has 18 entries on a 40 spec., how about adding 10 to Stock?
She said NO ..they won't do it.
I said .."well, they have changed quotas in the past."
She told me they aren't changing any quotas this year.

So there you go, folks . There's your business model. Turning away cash flow ,when they already allotted for it.

I better stop now.....

Mark I feel your pain, I tried a couple of years ago to get into the gator nats when there were 4 open spots because of people withdrawals. But because of the cut off was done at 3 grade points and I only had one, NHRA wouldn't take my money either.
I had it out with some genius in California who finally came to my way of thinking, too late for the gators though. Now if the field is full at 5 grade points, if there is a withdrawal, someone with one grade point can get in.
