The Ford gang throwing out the gauntlet. The 4200lb tow vehicle against the little Fords. This will be fun.

Well I made some good headway over the last week. Picked up some old school Centerline wheels, a 5 lug disk brake front set up from a 94 GT, ordered upper and lower control arms and Mike Graham is going to sell me BJ's C4 with a low 1st gear and a Mark Yacavone converter.Next weekend will be a busy one. Lot's to do.

The '94 brakes may not be legal. I thought that the '94 went to a different spindle type, which may cause a problem. I don't know, but you may want to check if making the spindle change is considered cross-breeding parts. It may not matter, since aftermarket brakes are allowed. However, the spindles as I recall are very different from the 79-93 spindles, as are the rotors.
If you do run into problems, I have a set of 5 lug rotors and gt calipers that I would donate to you. You have to pick up the shipping costs. I had the caliper pistons coated by Swain, and solid inserts installed. The rotors have 1/2" long studs and new bearings. They spin pretty well. They're available to you if you need them. |

They are supposed to be a direct bolt in, but if it turns out that I can’t use them I will just take them back. I was going to get 87-93 spindles and run 5 lug rotors, but thought this set up was better. I’ll have to look into it a little deeper.
Thanks for the offer. Quote:

I'm finally getting some work done. Rear end out, cleaning up the sheet metal. Pulling the front end apart. Nasty greasy mess. Got a great deal on the rims. I cant remember the last time I saw Firestone Drag 500 tires. I like the old school rims.
