got a question on drive belt tension, adjustment on a
E Z go 86M12 . won't hardly pull itself and appears really loose haven't found a manual for it yet but I just acquired it this morning.. ![]()

no they just get tight when the cvt clutches engage. if the belt is worn too much it gets narrow and will slip a lot. jack the back up and start the eng. rev it , and if it looks like the drive clutch on the engine tries to engage (get narrower on the belt) but it still wont drive the rear driven clutch , your belt is to worn. there is a spec on width of the belt. but I don't know the dim.. hope this helps.

thanks mark, I DID find a spec and it's 1 3/16" wide, mine is .996....supposedly it eats belts but the pulleys look good....abuse?
anyway, got a new one ordered and i'll give it a shot....sure isn't hard to change ![]()
