Well, i made it 3 rounds this weekend... and by Muncie's timers, i ran a 11.477 on one pass, and 115.86(tickets are downstairs, pretty sure thats the mph) on a pass...but most were in the low 115.xx range. I also clocked a 1.497 60ft on their clocks...the car did seem to be leaving well, but i wasnt showing any real ET gain from it. Not sure who's timers are right, but i like the 1.497 better than 1.533...hehe Best ET in the 1/8 was 7.22, with most in 7.23/7.24 range... Track was not good early on, but came around... I think maybe a few degrees timing and i may be a tad rich, in the secondaries... 1st gear seems to get over with quickly, but 2-3 seems to be longer than it should... need to change oil, run valves, put new slicks on and get ready for indy Also, keep in mind, im only leaving at 2500, because much higher, the secondaries start to come in... i wonder if i put a regular plate on the carb, i could possibly leave higher on the converter? And if couple more degrees timing, and a slightly leaner fuel charge, the engine would pull to 3rd gear quicker... im also only shifting at 5700-5800 both gears...Since i was racing, didnt want to experiment with 2-3 shift point...

Had a great weekend at Norwalk...went 3 rounds! Thats a 1st , for me, at an NHRA event... I drove fair, but, screwed up 3rd round, and missed 1-2 shift...Its pretty tough to hit 5300-5400 every time.... I never had this issue when it was a bracket car...hehe

Thanks Doug!

Went to Muncie this Saturday... went 4 rounds... best ET of 11.463/115.10 with a 1.497 60ft...most were 1.50x

I didnt have any problems hitting the 1-2 shift , car was consistent as could be, and predictable... was leaving well.... Not sure whose 60ft timers to believe, as the car only does 1.53x 60fts at NHRA tracks, but does 1.50x at home, and car feels the same to me... Hard to believe the car still goes 11.40s, shifting at 5300 into high gear... Debating on when i want to go back to last years' cam ... and when im gonna pull a head and do some flow comparisons... Car is running fine, but would like to see 11.20s this year...
