Hi there.
Any idea why the detailed run schedule shows no runs till Friday morning. But the Daily event schedule shows sportsman qualifications start at 9.30am on THURSDAY !!?

A beautiful morning here in Vegas. The winds have died down and its supposed to be fairly calm for the next few days. Tech and maintenance day today. NHRA is trying a texting service this weekend so I signed up on it. They are going to text you by the class you are running with schedule updates, staging lanes calls and various other event related updates. I'll let you know how this works out. Time for the morning coffee!

Where did you find last-year's Daily event schedule? The NHRA website shows April 10-12 everywhere I have checked.

Mr Gullett the text updates worked very well for us at Charlotte, alot of times we received updates and calls to the lanes before it was announced over the PA system.

If you entered the event they send you a bunch of emails now with info for the event your running . Its not a issue as long as someone there like Bob Gullet verified it for me so we can get a few more hours of sleep as we rolled in at 2am . Thanks all. ...

Nice job posting Bob. Good luck to all racers this weekend, especially those from up here in the Northwest. Talked with Pete and Dino Kost before they left for the race. Testing had gone well for Pete in the stocker and should make a good showing.
Side note - Talked with Greg Denney at Pacific last weekend and testing went well for his B/SA Camaro. He plans on making the Combo races at Pacific and I hope there are many racers that can show up for these as they have in the past.

Made it thru tech. 72 degrees here. Still some wind but not as bad as it has been. Qualifying definatly starts at 8 am tommorow. Thanks for the info on the text messages. I'm sure it will be a good thing.

The text messages for staging lane calls is pretty handy. They were doing that a couple of weeks ago in Nobile for the Spring Breakout High Dollar Race.
