You should not have to tie a short travel strut car down for any reason. ...cables are near impossible to make equal, and the car becomes a weapon if one limiter breaks.
If you are after reaction time , you might actually loose reaction due to the car driving out instead of up. If its wheelstanding you are trying to cure , tighten the rebound on the strut ,or add some balast to the front end. Use the suspension adjustments to your advantage . Tieing the front was a poor crutch used when chassis tech and shocks/ struts were not as good as they now are.
