Sunoco racing pump gas is at $8.50 / gal here in FL. What does Sunoco purple or blue cost now.

I'd be fine if they just let me use regular pump gas.

Here is the oil companies new slogan. "We Want To Pump You Up"

U/SA all pumped up.

most racing fuels are not made from crude oil, chemical based ...

if diesel goes down they will spend less to bring it to us

Hey Ron, here in NC I get purple from circle track sources for 7.99 gal. But still almost twice as much as the torco days. I miss those days,

That's a Fact, Jack! (I always wanted to say that) The price of Racing fuel is tied to the Chemical market prices. Very little base crude is used in racing fuel.

SEE HERE, that is just gouging us on taxes. The taxes are based on "Per Gallon sold" Not the price sold at.
When Gas prices are lower it doesn't lower the amount of taxes collected, on the contrary.... It should increase the tax dollars collected because people are going to drive more and burn more fuel. Duh. This is an example of either a mis-informed news media (Talking Head) or a mis-informed Govt. official.
