So you're claiming that it was a youthful discretion? I guess we've all been guilty of that.

I saw a photo from the 60's of a '41 Willys pickup that says Joe Teuton on the door. It's a nice looking bright yellow C/Gasser. Could that be what Dwight is talking about?

That was Joe's. We have been looking for it for at least 40 years. Heard Florida but can't find it. He also had a 57 Chevy, won the Nascar Drag Race in FL with that one. I think it was a 7 day race. I was in school then. Travis, you too??? There was a Willis coupe 426,clutchflite, hilborn, and along the way a bunch more. Anyone knew NASCAR had got into drag racing?

What about the yellow Willis pickup?? I visited with Big Joe last year and that seemed to be one of his favorites. I took a pic off the ones that were on the "wall of fame", I'll have to look for it.

I got to find the picture of him driving it, but Bob Reed drove my mother's nova when dad put a stick in it and she couldn't get the handle of driving it and he bought her a Corvette, Reed drove it over a year.

I remember NASCAR jumping into drag racing in the height of the match race/SS frenzy. Richard Petty even built a match race '66 Barracuda in Petty blue during that time. 43 Jr it was called.

I Was With Big Joe The First Time He Raced The Coupe At Laplace With The Clutch flight. He Never Liked Racing The Auto. Big Joe Is A Stick Shift Man.When Big Bought His First Hemi Dart Whenever It Had The Auto In It Sid Allways Drove. We Know Where The Coupe Is But We Cant Find The Truck. Last Seen In Mobile Ala. It Was Painted Brown With The Bird Hunter On The Door. Last Owned By Ted Walters. If Anybody Can Find It Call Joe Or Jeff!! Jeff's Last Claim To Fame With A Chevy Was A 55 Panel Waggon D/G Called The H-H Turkin Waggon That Jeff And My Two Brother In Laws Owned. I Think They Had All Of 250$ And 400 Case's Of Beer Invested In It. And A Lot Of Free Donated Parts Too. Yes That Was Truely The Good Old Days!!
