For those of you that have either tinkered with or are currently running a fuel injected car, what operating system do you prefer? My project car has become more of a project than I was hoping for so now I'm deciding if it is a good time to upgrade everything.
The project car is currently running an Accell Gen 6 system that arrived with the Mayflower. I don't know anybody that is running this system to compare map notes to see if I am way off. I feel I'm leaving alot on the table. I have heard good reports on the FAST system, let me know what you think. Thanks in advance! Tim |

It's a 1990 roller 305 tuned port combo, in a Formula Firebird.

Ive used a couple of different types,,,, the holley,,,,,a good little unit SDS (simple digital systems) and then the fast system,,,I used the fast system on a combo very similiar to yours,(85 tuneport 305),,,,,,,,IMO,,the fast is expensive BUT it does great,,,,I like the `idiot mode" the fast has,,,you tell it what you want and it will do it( A/F ratio),,,OR tuning can get high tech if you want,,,tuning each cylinder for individual timing and fuel,,,,I just used mine in the bank to bank mode
My SDS system was far less expensive BUT you had to make all the changes,,,,,at the time,,,it ran on a set program and didnt take readings from the O2 sensor,,,,it also had its own hand held programmer and didnt need a lap top like the others if budget wasnt an issue,,,I would go with fast |

Big Stuff 3 or 4. John Meaney has designed a system that is very expandable, easy to upgrade, and not painful to install/use. The downfall is the support and the users manual. FAST and Holley have the best online forums and tech support in my opinion. I have Motec, Accel, Holley, and BS3, and feel BS3 is geared more toward the GM engines. They all can be a royale with cheese pain in the *** though at times.
