Coolest thing about most of these stories are that the runner-up gets almost as much ink as the winners.

Raceway Park's weekly results paper in the early-1970s I'd nominate as the best track paper ever published with almost 30 pages and for free!

Pete,

Those damn 1967 and 1968 Camaro SS-350 cars in SS/I.

They fit in nicely {10.00 - 10.49 Wt/Hp}

350/295 HP with the big Quadrajet.

Paul,
Did you ever see that "Easy Glider" wagon at Dover? I noticed the M & M
logo on the rear doors of that car...think that was a shop in your area...so the car
must have been local....

Any tidbits on M & M....they still around today?

Pete,

Yes, 'Easy Glider' was a regular at Dover Drag Strip.

1968 thru 1973

It was a 1955 Chevy #210 Townsman Wagon with a {265/180 HP ~ 4-barrel} with a Power-Glide.

#3435 lbs. ~ 180 HP = 19.08 Wt/HP

Billy Liqouri and Barry Weighall had it, and raced it from 1968 thru 1971 in Stock Class.
* 1968 = P/S
* 1969 = Q/S
* 1970 = R/S
* 1971 = R/S

In 1972 and 1973 it was classed in SS/V, where it ran right close to the National Record of 13.86.
