A/SA was popular class with 6 cars - evenly sit between Max- Wedge Plymouths and big block 69 Camaros. John Dinkel and Jim Nichols went at it in round 2.

Mike,
Thanks so much for putting this show together! We will be up for any future races this year or next. Oh, by the way, the wagon is only a ONE barrel carb (and 135hp) - LOL Casey & Warren W/SA |

Mike,
Thanks for organizing this race. I had a great time. The Milan crew did agreat job on the starting line. Also would to thank John for taking care of the ladder. Congrats to winner Bob Lowery. I hope you plan to hold more of these combo races next year.

The track prep at Milan was first class. The crew sprayed and dragged the track every round for us. Here are some of the shots taken by Andrew Casselberry (aka rocknrolla).
![]() ![]() Dog Box had his A/SA 69 Camaro literally flying with a 10.26 ![]() Tony Goodman was #2 Qualifier in B/SA with an impressive 10.23. Tony put his car on the wheelie bars to the 60 ft. mark every run. ![]() Bobby Gyorke and Darrell Ciaravinno put on a great show for the fans with leaves like this. ![]() Bobby Gyorke was the #3 qualifier with a 10.14 in A/SA. ![]() Steve Novosel "ran it out" at 9.61 for P1.

![]() ![]() Racing buddies and Cobra Jet collaborators Jimmy Ronzello and George Wright met in the second round. When George went red against Jimmy, some thought he was taking a dive - you know - "Team Orders". And nobody was really believing George until they saw his light -.0017. He was gunning for Jimmy - he was that close to drilling the tree.
