dyno numbers 283 SS?

Any idea what a competitve 283 Super Stock motor would show for hp numbers?

Should have been a bit more specific...referring to the '64-'66 220 hp version....

on our stuska dyno in Carrol IA a good motor made 480 , my old motor I sold made 460 @ 7200 rpm

Thanks Tim! I recall talking to an engine builder years ago, and the number for a
good one at that time was about 415...might have been around the time the porting
rule went into effect.
